Joyce Arlene Vance of Beloit Wisconsin and formerly of Steelville, Missouri was born in Belvidere, Illinois on Feb. 6, 1935 to Otto and Bertha (Ahrens) Dollman and passed away on Feb. 19, 2026 at the age of 91 years.
She grew up in Union, Illinois and graduated from Marengo, Illinois High School in 1955.
Joyce married Raymond D. Vance on Nov. 21, 1975. They resided in the Union, Illinois area until 1999 when they moved to Steelville, Missouri.
Joyce worked at various jobs during her lifetime but was primarily a homemaker. She was a devout Christian and attended various churches throughout her life. She enjoyed being with family, knitting, working with jigsaw puzzles and doing word search.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond Vance; two brothers, Roy (Lillian) Dollman and Charles (Joann) Dollman; sister, Jane (Henry) Freise; and infant sister, Jean Dollman.
She is survived by her daughter, Jill (Andrew) Slown of Beloit, Wisconsin; two grandsons, James Slown and Alexander Slown; other relatives and friends.
Graveside service was held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026 at Liberty Cemetery in Steelville, Missouri with Pastor Bob Coleman, officiating.
