Karen Missey

Karen Missey of New Haven, Missouri  was born on Aug. 1, 1958 in Bourbon, Missouri to Thomas Owen and Ruby Jewel (Lister) Treece and passed away Monday, May 4, 2026 at the age of 67 years.

She attended Bourbon High School and graduated with the Class of 1977. She later continued her education at East Central College, where she earned an Associate Degree in Business.

On Feb. 14, 1976, she married Ralph D. Missey Jr.

Karen worked in retail for a time and also served as a wedding planner.

She was a lover of plants and had a true green thumb. She was also an avid reader and especially enjoyed Dean Koontz and Stephen King. Watching Law and Order was one of her favorite pastimes, and she also enjoyed fishing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Ruby Treece; and two brothers, Marion and Thomas Treece.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph D. Missey Jr. of New Haven, Missouri; two children, Aubrey Missey and Ralph D. Missey III and wife KrisAnn all of New Haven, Missouri; three grandchildren, Alexandria Kuelker and husband Nik of Washington, Missouri, Samantha Missey and Ralph D. Missey IV both of New Haven, Missouri; four siblings, Ernest Treece and wife Susan of Leasburg, Missouri, Harry Treece and wife Carol of Ozark, Missouri, Maryland Stovall and husband David of Belle, Missouri and Emma Wasson and husband Michael of Robby, Missouri; other relatives and friends.

Cremation services have taken place. There will be no services at this time.

Arrangements under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
