Karen Sue Childress of Cuba, Missouri was born June 7, 1947 in Sullivan, Missouri to Herman S. and Irma J. (George) McMillian and passed away Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025 at the age of 78 years.
She dedicated her career to nursing, serving as a Registered Nurse at the Meramec Home Health and Life Care Center in Sullivan, Missouri.
She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and five siblings, Leroy, Mack, Joel and Larry McMillian and Carol Williams.
She is survived by three sisters, Pam Richardson of Cuba, Missouri, Kathy Hayes of Cuba, Missouri and Joann Busse of St. Clair, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
In accordance with her wishes, Karen was cremated.
Inurnment will be held at the McMillian family cemetery at a later date.
