The St. James High girls’ golf squad finishing fourth as a team at the St. Francis Borgia Quad, held at the Franklin County Country Club Tuesday, Sept. 15.
Host Borgia won the event with 173 while Duchesne was second with 189, Lutheran St. Charles third with 194 and St. James fourth with 223.
For St. James, two Lady Tigers recorded their personal-best scores, as sophomore Landri Abel carded 51 and freshman Ainslee Woessner shot 61. Also for St. James, senior Jolie Roark shot 52, freshman Hallie Kleffner 59 and sophomore Ava Culwell 61.
The Lady Tigers were also scheduled to play a tri-meet at Union against Pacific and host Union Thursday, Sept. 17, but that event was canceled due to weather/lightning.
This week St. James was to compete in the St. Clair Invitational Monday; host Washington in a meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the St. James Golf Course, and participate in the Four Rivers Conference Tournament Thursday at the Meramec Lakes Golf Course in St. Clair
