Larry Dean Smith of Steelville, Missouri was born on Tuesday, May 12, 1970 in St. Louis, Missouri to Harold “Smitty” Junior Smith and Jacquelene “Tootie” (nee Livesay) Smith and passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026 at the age of 56 years and 10 days.
He was a graduate of Steelville High School, Class of 1988.
For eight years, Larry devoted himself to caring for his parents.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, good music, spending time with close friends, and the companionship of his dog, Hebro. He loved being outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Smitty and Tootie Smith; brothers, James “Jim/Smitty” Smith and Gary Lee Smith; and grandparents Ralph & Florentine Livesay and Harold Sr. & Clara Smith.
He is survived by his sister, Cindy and husband Randy Lewis of Steelville, Missouri; nephew, Thomas (Cara) Lewis of St. James, Missouri; niece, Randi Lewis and fiancé Joe Paintner of Arnold, Missouri; great niece and great nephew, Olivia and Jesse Lewis; special friends, Kristina Lambert and Frank Pearman both of Steelville, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
