Leslie Lloyd Luther of Gerald, Missouri was born March 8, 1937 in Brighton, Massachusetts to Lloyd and Angelina (Pelletier) Luther and passed away Jan. 4, 2026 at the age of 88 years.

He graduated from Waterville High School in 1955.

He married Sally Dearborn.

He served his country from 1955 to 1975 in the United States Air Force serving as a flight engineer. His career took him around the world. He was part of historic missions, including transporting the first panda bears to the United States and accompanying President Richard Nixon on his historic visit to China. He also served during both the Korean and Vietnam conflicts.

After retiring he was employed at California Manufacturing, Paramount Headwear and Langenburg Hat.

He married Connie Copeland Angell on January 24, 1998.

He was raised Catholic and later became a member of New Friendship Baptist Church in Gerald, Missouri where he served as a Sunday School teacher and committee member.

He enjoyed shooting sports, collecting knives, maintaining his 1976 CJ-7 Jeep and spending time on his pontoon boat at Indian Hills Lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Angelina Luther; and step-son, Don Angell.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Luther of Gerald, Missouri; children, Lori (Oscar) Paradis of Waterville, Maine, Greg (Mary) Luther of California, Christopher Luther of Waterville, Maine, Marc Luther of Arkansas, and Sheridan (Brett) Pepper of England; step-son, Dustin Angell of Cuba, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Kristen Angell of Nixa, Missouri; grandchildren, Lori Luther, David Luther, Jordan, Tanner and Rayahna Luther, Hayley Bruce, Graham Pepper, Hunter, Hudson, Harper, Hope, Harlow, Hattie, Aubree and Olivia Angell; special cousin, Sheila (Roger) Lewis; other relatives and many friends.

Cremation services have taken place.
