It is amazing that the so-called sophisticated New Yorkers actually voted for a communist mayor. The good that will come from this is that the world and the New Yorkers will learn what communism is all about. The New Yorkers elected a man who never had a job in his life and does not understand the struggles of the average American.
Some extremely wise men have stated that communism is a road to failure. St. Thomas Aquinas stated that such an idea is self-defeating. St. Paul wrote, "he who does not work, neither let him eat." In other words, there is no such thing as a free lunch.
Reality has come to light! Mamdani wants to raise taxes on homeowners by 9.5 percent. In other words, the idea that everything is free, is an illusion. Somebody had to pay for it.
Those who criticize capitalism need a reality check or choose to live in Russia or China.
