Marie “Diane” Anita (nee Dionne) Miller of Cuba, Missouri was born on Wednesday, June 16, 1937 in Lewiston, Maine to Rosario Rene Dionne and Lauretta Bella (nee Verville) Dionne and passed away Aug. 8, 2026 at the age of 89 years, 1 month and 23 days.

Diane grew up in the Catholic faith, and French was her first language. She graduated from St. Joseph Catholic School in Lewiston, Maine, and later went on to college, where she earned her degree to become an elementary school teacher.

Her life changed one evening while out dancing with friends at the Rustic Cabin in Maine where she met a young Navy man named William “Jerry” Gerard Miller. Just six months later, on October 2, 1965, they were married in Lewiston.

She attended churches of the Pentecostal faith, including Covenant Praise Church in Cuba, where she especially enjoyed being part of the ladies’ groups.

She was a social butterfly who was always ready to be on the go, whether it was taking a car ride, visiting with others, or simply enjoying a soda with no ice and a handful of Cheez-Its. She loved to read, enjoyed flowers despite admitting she didn’t have much of a green thumb, and loved music—especially songs from the ’50s and ’60s, along with praise and worship music.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosario and Lauretta Dionne; parents-in-law, Carter and Bernice Miller; children, Mark Miller and Kimberly Ware; grandson, Andy; infant great granddaughter, Ryan Noelle; sisters, Jacqueline (Ron) Reidle and Monique (Richard) Berubee; and sister-in-law, Sue Miller.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jerry Miller of Cuba, Missouri; children, Renee Young and companion Gordon Razee of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, Janice (Jason) Draper of Belgrade, Missouri and Denise (Dustin) Lands of Bismark, Missouri; son-in-law, Shawn Ware of Steelville, Missouri; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joseph Miller of Annapolis, Missouri, Rosemary Braun of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Theresa (John) Dunham and Rita (Rick) Hipes both of Farmington, Missouri, Michael (Dorothy) Miller of Ripley, Ohio and Paul (Cindy) Miller of Searcy, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Adam, Amanda, Mark, Travis, Brianna, Joshua and Addalynn; six great grandchildren, Evy, Emmaline, Hayden, Colton, Brynn and Kimber; other relatives and friends.

The family chose cremation as her final disposition.
