Marvin Eugene Bartle of St. James, Missouri was born April 3, 1961 in Rolla, Missouri to Jack Eugene and Lola Mae (Happel) Bartle and passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026 at the age of 65 years.
He graduated from John F. High School in 1979. During his high school years, he began working for Morelock Distributing in 1977.
He married Debbie Nichols on September 7, 1996 at Flag Springs Church in St. James, Missouri.
Marvin joined his dad and brother in the family business, Jack Bartle Plumbing, in 1996. He continued working at Jack Bartle Plumbing until his health forced him to retire in 2024.
He and Debbie loved living on their farm in the neighborhood where Marvin grew up. He enjoyed raising cattle and his daily rides in his UVT with his sidekicks, Max and Sadie.
Marvin was an outdoorsman. He loved everything about hunting. One of his greatest joys was planning each deer season with his nephews, Noah, Luke, Micah and Jonah. Everyone always looked forward to the call from Marvin and the boys stating, “meat's on the ground.”
Friends knew to visit Ray’s Tire each morning, which was Marvin's first stop.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Lola; brother-in-law, Terry Dillon; and niece, Tracie Nichols.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie of the home, brother, Scott Bartle and wife Kim of St. James, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Mary Rinehart and husband Robert, Donna Bock and husband Larry and Edna Dillon all of St. James, Missouri; brother-in-law, Bobby Nichols and wife Leatta of Rolla, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2026 at Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri with Bro. Robert Rinehart officiating. Pallbearers were nephews Noah Bartle, Luke Bartle, Micah Bartle, Jonah Bartle, Shane Casey and Johnny Stroud. Honorary pallbearers were Scott Bartle, Bobby Nichols, Larry Bock, Todd Neimeyer, Mark Rolufs, Bill Sherman, Joe Sherman, Don Licklider and Marty Gibson.
Burial in the Miles Cemetery.
