Marvin Henry Parker Sr. of Bourbon, Missouri was born on Oct. 31, 1949 in Bonne Terre, Missouri to James and Betty (Cross) Parker and passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026 at the age of 76 years.
He spent his childhood in St. Louis, where he attended school before leaving high school early to enter the workforce and help support his family. He began working alongside his father at a local gas station before spending a short time at Chrysler. He later started a career with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, where he dedicated more than 30 years of service before retiring.
On March 24, 1973, Marvin married Toni Dodd.
He enjoyed weekends camping with family at Meramec State Park and Woodland Lakes and could often be found hunting, fishing, or spending time outdoors. He was a member of the Sullivan Eagles for more than 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Toni; daughter, Margaret Jean; parents, James and Betty Parker; and niece, Nicole Jeter.
Marvin is survived his four children, Stacy Parker and significant other Billy Binge of Mineral Pointe, Missouri, Carla Johns and husband Corey of Saint Louis, Missouri, Marvin Parker Jr. of Bourbon, Missouri and Denise McKimm and husband Ron of Cuba, Missouri; 10 grandchildren, Cody, William, Amber, Ashley, Brittany, Aaron, Justin, McKenzie, Eli and James; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Sharon Jeter and husband Ron of Villa Ridge, Missouri; and brother, Carl Parker and wife Sandy of Jackson, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, July 24, 2026 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
Remembrance Memorial Service was held at noon on Friday, July 24, 2026 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri with Pastor Chester Lahmann officiating.
Inurnment followed at the Cave Spring Cemetery in Sullivan, Missouri.
