Mary Charlene Black (née Wycoff), known by Charlene, was born on Dec. 9, 1925 to Charles and Mary Wycoff and passed away on June 12, 2026 at the age of 100 years.
She believed in staying active. She enjoyed playing games with her friends, catching up on her favorite soap operas and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Charles Wycoff; and son-in-law, Lou Elsen.
She is survived by her children, Vicki Elsen of Town and Country, Missouri and Steve Black and wife Mary Black of Cuba, Missouri; three grandchildren, Shane Puckett and wife, Darlene Puckett of Liverpool, New York, Seth Black of Cuba, Missouri and Sam Black of St. Louis, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Kennedy and Vincent Black of Osage Beach, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
In accordance with Charlene’s wishes, a private celebration of life was held and no formal public services will be held.
