Michael Duane Jennings of St. James, Missouri, formerly of Steelville, Missouri, was born on Dec. 6, 1958 in Tacoma, Washington to Kenneth Charles Jennings and Olive (nee Spencer) Jennings and passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026 at the age of 67 years, 7 months and 4 days.
He served his country in the United States Navy from 1980 to 1983.
On April 21, 1990, he married Cynthia Lois Chandler in Everett, Washington.
For over 30 years, Michael made his living as a truck driver, traveling highways from coast to coast. He later finished his trucking career working for Woody Bogler in Rosebud, Missouri.
He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle and listening to some of his favorite rock bands like Whitesnake, Metallica, and Ozzy Osbourne.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Olive Jennings; wife, Cynthia Jennings; parents-in-law, Jack and Dorothy Chandler; siblings, George (Glenna) Jennings, John Jennings and Brenda (Jim) Jennings.
He is survived by his daughter, Alisha and husband, Michael Earney of Steelville, Missouri; two grandchildren, Elaina and Gabe Earney; siblings, Pat Merritt of Steelville, Missouri and Robert (Yonie) Jennings of Austin, Texas; sister-in-law, Jodie Jennings of Wooly, Washington; brothers-in-law, Jack Chandler and Steven Chandler both of Marysville, Washington; sister-in-law, Debra Pena of Riverside, California; other relatives and friends.
Inurnment was held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2026 at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating and full military honors.
