Michael Wooten of Rolla, Missouri was born on Jan. 9, 1953 in Missouri to Claude Wooten and Elva Pearl (Schoonover) Wooten and passed away Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025 at the age of 72 years.
Michael enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and looked forward to trips to the casino with his brother Bill. He found peace in going for drives and being surrounded by nature.
He liked crossword puzzles, playing cards and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce Wooten; granddaughter, Brittany Snelson; three brothers, Carl, Billy and Gale Wooten; sister, Janice Hodge; and brother-in-law, Dean Hodge.
He is survived by his daughter, Sherry Cantrell and husband Chuck of St. James, Missouri; one grandchild, Cassidy Outlaw and husband Jordan of St. James, Missouri; three great grandchildren, Dakota Outlaw, Brody Theilen and Canton Outlaw; special grand dogs, Cooper and Darcy; nieces, Karen McDowell and husband Gary, Lisa Bailey and husband Carl and Jessica; nephews, Junior Wooten, Mike “Bubba” Wooten, Joe Lotzer, Utah Baily and Gary McDowell; other relatives and friends.
Private family burial will be held at a later date at Pilot Knob Cemetery.
Arrangements under the direction of the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla, Missouri.
