Chris Williams, 60, of Salem, was last seen at approximately 10:22 p.m. on Christmas Day in Bourbon. He was reported heading towards Owensville’s Lost Valley Resort area, but never arrived.
Williams’ red 2007 Chevrolet Silverado was found on Jan. 2 on Hobby Hut Road behind a small structure in an area of heavy brush, one mile north of Interstate 44, heading westbound. Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop I reported that his vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a rock wall and a tree before overturning and coming to a rest on its top.
Master Sergeant J.J. McDonald, assisted by Corporal J. T. Peart, investigated the crash and reported that he had been wearing a seatbelt.
