The St. James High School Athletic Department found out what respective classifications and districts four of its fall sports programs have been assigned to on Friday, Aug. 28.

On Aug. 28 the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) announced the classifications and district assignments for most of the fall sports for the 2026 campaigns. Cross County assignments have yet to be announced.

There doesn’t seem to be any major surprises for the St. James Athletic Department in regard to the class and district assignments. Most St. James programs have been placed in districts with several familiar district or Four Rivers Conference foes.

Here is a look at the St. James fall class and district assignments:

Football - Class 3 District 5: St. James, Buffalo, Cuba, Mountain Grove, Pleasant Hope, Salem, Strafford.

Girls’ Golf - Class 2 District 1: St. James, Duchesne, Lutheran South, Lutheran St. Charles, Maplewood-Richmond Hts., St. Louis Notre Dame, St. Clair, St. Francis Borgia, Ste. Genevieve, STEAM Academy, Villa Duchesne, Winfield, Wright City.

Softball - Class 3 District 2: St. James, Cuba, Lutheran South, St. Louis Notre Dame, Owensville, St. Clair, Sullivan.

Volleyball - Class 3 District 9: St. James, Cuba, Owensville, Salem, St. Clair, Sullivan.

Cross Country - Class and District assignments have not yet been released by the Missouri State High School Activities Association.
