Peoples Bank is proud to announce Jo Ann Queen is celebrating her 25th anniversary with the bank. After starting with the organization in 2000, Queen worked in various roles at Peoples Bank, eventually being named Compliance and Security Officer in 2005.
“Jo Ann has almost 40 years of experience in the banking industry overall, and her expertise shows every single day when she comes into work,” Jill Wagner, Peoples Bank Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, said. “Her dedication to education and willingness to learn keep her at the leading edge of the banking industry. We are grateful for all she has done at Peoples Bank.”
Queen has held positions in proof, finance, the ATM department and compliance in her time at Peoples Bank. She holds a plethora of certifications, including Certified Community Bank Compliance Officer, Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager, and Certified AML and Fraud Professional. She earned these through the ICBA Compliance School and the American Bankers Association.
“Over the last 25 years at Peoples Bank, I’ve been able to grow tremendously in my career,” Queen said. “The countless people I’ve met over the years while being with this organization have made it a great place to work.”
In her free time, Queen loves spending time with family. She has been married to her husband Ken for 42 years, and they have three children, 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family enjoys kayaking, hiking and camping.
