Peoples Bank strives to be more than a bank, truly immersing itself in its surrounding communities and making an impact on local residents. Carrying through with that mission, Peoples Bank is proud to announce that in 2025, bank employees volunteered for 13,549 hours and donated $135,489.61 to local charities and organizations.
Peoples Bank participated in a plethora of happenings and sponsored different events in 2025. Peoples Bank employees could be seen serving lunch at the Bourbon and Cuba Senior Centers throughout the year, making appearances at local county fairs and parades, providing complimentary senior pictures to graduating high school seniors, hosting the Riding for A Reason Fundraiser, sponsoring the Peoples Bank Classic, and much more.
“I’m proud of the outstanding effort by Peoples Bank employees to go out into the community and help our neighbors,” Peoples Bank CEO Jim Barnett III said. “We’ve always looked at our patrons not just as customers, but as familiar faces we see every day in the community at our kids’ ball games and at the grocery store. The community does so much for us, and we want to turn around and give back to the community as much as possible. It was truly a great year in 2025, and we can’t wait to see what 2026 holds.”
Peoples Bank also gave goodie bags to teachers at local schools, sent student-athletes goodie bags before they left for out-of-town tournaments, gave shirts to students with good attendance, and did more with local schools throughout the school year. In total, Peoples Bank employees were involved in 90 different organizations in 2025.
Founded in 1901, Peoples Bank is one of the largest locally owned banks in Crawford and Franklin Counties. The bank’s assets have grown from $14 thousand to more than $250 million.
