Ricki Amin “Moody” Nash was born on Aug. 15, 1977 in East St. Louis, Illinois and passed away June 8, 2026 at the age of 48 years.
He was a sports fan who especially loved football and basketball and supported the St. Louis Cardinals, the Rams, the Los Angeles Lakers, and was an admirer of LeBron James.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronnie R. Nash Sr.; brothers, Ronnie R. Nash Jr., Jermaine Noble and Benji Nash; stepson, Devin Smith; and grandson, Dontre Hudson.
He is survived by his fiancée, Tanya Lortz; children, Shakayla Nash of Raton, New Mexico, DeVandre Nash of Denver, Colorado, Desmond Smith and significant other Ricardo Hudson of Springfield, Missouri and Dequan Smith and significant other Arianna Hudson of Rolla, Missouri; mother, Pamela Noble Young and husband Herbert Young; brothers, Trevon Nash of Springfield, Illinois and Julius Nash of Licking, Missouri; niece, Ashya Gertler; nephew, Keeyan Gertler; five grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from noon to 2 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026 at Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
