Robert Edward Jones was born Oct. 30, 1955 to Earnest and Opal Davidson Jones and passed away Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025 at the age of 70 years.
He shared his passion for music and the arts by playing in classic rock bands as both lead guitar and vocals. He once played in the largest concert at the time in Missouri. Later he would go on to write music and record demo tapes, showcasing his creativity and talents.
He also enjoyed sketching and painting and painting children’s cartoons.
He worked at Paramount Cap until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, George, Ivan, Richard, Jim and Delbert Jones; and sister, Carolyn Roberts.
He is survived by his children, Robert D. Jones and wife Jamie of St. James Missouri and Andrew O. Jones of Rolla Missouri; four grandchildren; mother of his children, Sandra Atchison Jones of St. James Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Memorial service was held from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025 at the First Baptist Church in St. James, Missouri.
