Ronald Eugene Journey of St. Louis, Missouri was born on May 1, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri to Junior and Rose (Hughes) Journey and passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at the age of 78 years.
He grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and attended O'Fallon Technical School, where he studied auto mechanics.
In his younger years, he served his country in the United States Army. During his military service, he was stationed in Germany, where he worked in engineering and road construction operations.
He worked with Paulo Products for more than 30 years as a heat treater.
He enjoyed fishing, bicycling, and watching professional wrestling. He enjoyed music, especially classic rock from the 1960s and 1970s, and often spent time playing his acoustic guitar. He was also an avid reader.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Junior and Rose Journey.
He is survived by three children, Ronald Journey and wife Rachel of St. Clair, Missouri, Kathryn Maisel and husband Brian of Washington, Missouri and Heather Journey of St. Clair, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Michael Singleton, Naomi Perez, Brian Maisel Jr., Keira Journey, Steven Journey, Isabella Journey, Giovanni Weick, Lillian Weick and Carla Maza; five great grandchildren, Olivia, Brayden, Hayden, Connor and Wyatt; sister, Imelda Ramey of Bourbon, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time.
