Samantha West, Vice President, Mortgage Lending Manager and Market Leader, with FCNB Bank in Steelville, graduated from the Missouri Bankers Association’s Banking Leadership Missouri program during the organization’s 135th Annual Convention held June 10-12 at the Chateau on the Lake Resort in Branson.

West was among 21 bankers from throughout Missouri who completed MBA’s 12-month leadership development program designed to actively enhance the leadership, organizational and performance skills of highly motivated mid- to upper-level bankers. Courses focused on emerging bank issues, government relations, ethics, leadership styles, workplace culture, and communications. Banking Leadership Missouri establishes a network of future bank leaders who can respond to local and national issues affecting the banking industry and their communities.

“Through Banking Leadership Missouri, Samantha developed a deeper understanding of the issues affecting the banking industry,” said MBA President and CEO Jackson Hataway. “Samantha is a leader in her community, and she is among the next leaders in her bank and our association.”

West joined FCNB in August 2018 and has over twenty-five years of service in the financial and marketing industries, with extensive experience in secondary market lending, financial analysis, management, sales, and customer relations. Originally from Viburnum, Missouri, Samantha graduated from Iron County C-4 Schools and attended Three Rivers Community College and Missouri State University. As an active part of the community, she is a member of the Steelville Area Chamber of Commerce, KVC of Missouri Event Committee and MBA NextGen Bankers.

“By completing this comprehensive program, Samantha has gained extensive knowledge to enhance her leadership abilities in cultivating relationships with customers and contributing to economic growth in the community,” said FCNB Bank President & CEO Scott Perkins. “As a next leader, the future is bright for Samantha in the advancement of our organization.”

As a locally owned, independent, community bank since 1906, FCNB Bank is a member of the Missouri Bankers Association, a statewide trade and professional organization that represents the interests of nearly 220 banks, savings and loans and trust companies in Missouri.
