Sandra Jo Sellers of Dillard, Missouri was born May 1, 1959 in Steelville, Missouri to Gilbert and Geraldine (Skaggs) Sellers and passed away Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026 at the age of 66 years, 9 months and 25 days.

She graduated in 1977 from Viburnum High School.

She worked for several years as a nurse’s aide at Gibbs Care Center and also as a guide at Dillard Mill State Park.  Guiding at the mill was a special calling for her as she took great interest in the history of the area and her family.

Sandra had an immense love for cats, dogs and squirrels. In her middle years she became a very good deer hunter and loved fishing.  She and Bob also loved cave exploring and rappelling.  She was an avid collector of glassware, figurines, and dishes and was a St. Louis Cardinals fan.

She would mail birthday, graduation, get well, condolence cards to everyone she knew and many people she had never met. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Gilbert Sellers; aunts and uncles, Ed and Thelma Sellers, Glenna and Don O’Conner, Leon Skaggs, Bill Skaggs, Don Skaggs, Marvin Skaggs and Mary Shrout.

She is survived by her companion of 36 years, Bob Gapsch; mother, Geraldine Sellers of the home place; brother, Alan (Kim) Sellers of Jackson, Missouri; nephew, Joshua (Emily Vines) of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; two nieces, Katherine (Hayden Phillips) of St Louis, Missouri and Molly (Daniel Loveland) of Springfield, Missouri; uncle, Gary Skaggs of Cuba, Missouri; aunt, Kathy (Mike Reeves) of St. Louis, Missouri; other relatives and friends.

She chose cremation as her final disposition.

 Celebration of Life will be held from 1-3 p.m. on May 3, 2026 at Sellers Cemetery.

There will be a private family inurnment.

Arrangements under the direction of the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, Missouri.
