Sandra “Sandy” Kay (nee Farrar) Brinkley was born May 1, 1964 in Sullivan, Missouri to Raymond and Estella Dulany Farrar and passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at the age of 61 years, 10 months and 23 days.
She was a Steelville High School graduate of 1982.
On April 3, 1993 in Steelville, she married Gene Brinkley.
She was employed for a number of years at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James.
Sandy attended the Steelville Assembly of God Church and was baptized by Bro. Jerry Beers in 2024.
In her younger days, Sandy enjoyed bowling and in her later years loved to hunt deer and play golf. She loved spending time with Gene and their dog Fannie, was a supporter of Steelville School sports, enjoyed sitting outside watching birds and being on the phone with friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Estella Farrar; sisters, Gail Hutson and Barbara (Stanley) Berry; brother-in-law, Albert Archuleta
She is survived by her husband, Gene Brinkley of Steelville, Missouri; step-children, Karen Marshall (fiancé Brad Wise) of Steelville, Missouri and Renee (Sako) Beudjekian of Newport Beach, California; step-grandchildren, Nick Marshall, Garrett (Grace) Marshall, Hayden Marshall, Johnny and Jackson Beudjekian; brother and sisters, Tim (Sandy) Farrar and Tena (Ronnie) Slovensky all of Steelville, Missouri, Alice Archuleta of Columbia, Missouri and Tammy (Joe) Dean of Highland, Illinois; brother-in-law, Rainey Hutson of Cuba, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
Celebration of Life was held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Pastor Jerry Beers officiating. Special music of "Amazing Grace" was sung by Hayden Marshall and played on guitar by Joe Dean. Other music played was "Knowing What I Know About Heaven" and "I'll Fly Away." The service was live-streamed on the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home Facebook page.
The family chose cremation as the final disposition.
