Sara Ellen Gardner of Rolla, Missouri was born on Oct. 29, 1968 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Clifford Clinton Penegar and Patricia Ann (Ward) Penegar and passed away Monday, June 15, 2026 at the age of 57 years.
She attended Skyview High School in Smithville, Utah.
She was a member of the Rolla Church of the Nazarene.
She was employed as a cook in a retirement home.
Daisy, her dog, was one of her best friends. She collected ceramic frogs.
She is survived by her son, Jerod Gardner and wife Elizabeth of St. James, Missouri; two daughters, April Gardner of Wichita Falls, Texas and Brianna Gardner of Odessa, Texas; three brothers, Clifford Johnson and wife of Idaho, John Penegar and wife Terri of Odessa, Texas and Jeremiah Lewis and wife Denise of Rolla, Missouri; sister, Margaret Gilmore of Longview, Texas; three grandchildren, Carley Krontz, Colton Krontz and Alice Gardner; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla, Missouri.
