I am seeking re-election to the Steelville R-3 School District Board of Education. I am committed to serving our students, families, and the amazing community we call home.
As a lifelong resident and a 2006 graduate of Steelville High School, I began my career of service with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office before enlisting in the United States Army. After returning home in 2020, I resumed my service with the Sheriff’s Office. My wife and I have three children, two currently enrolled in the district, and a newborn daughter who will one day attend Steelville schools.
During my first term, I was proud to help secure a DESE-funded safety grant that improved school security through enhanced surveillance and secure access systems. As a liaison to local law enforcement, I have worked to strengthen our School Resource Officer program. My background in law enforcement, along with training in active threat response and critical incident management, allows me to bring valuable safety expertise to the board. I have also remained a strong and unwavering advocate for our faculty and staff, because I firmly believe that investing in and supporting those who educate and guide our children is essential to the long-term success of our district.
If re-elected, I will continue to lead with a focus on student safety by enhancing staff training in threat assessment, advancing needed facility improvements, and ensuring every stakeholder has a meaningful voice in the decisions that shape our district.
I respectfully ask for your continued support.
