St. James is home to me. I grew up here, graduated from St. James High School, and the years I spent in this district helped shape who I am today. The teachers, coaches, and mentors who invested in me left a lasting impact on my life, and because of that I have a deep love and respect for this community and the schools that serve it.
Serving on the St. James R-1 Board of Education for the past three years has been an honor. I have loved the opportunity to listen, learn, and work alongside fellow board members, administrators, educators, and families who care about our students. It has been incredibly rewarding to play a role in supporting the district that gave so much to me growing up.
One accomplishment I am especially proud of is that our district was able to provide meaningful raises for teachers without raising taxes. Our educators work tirelessly for our students and deserve to be supported and valued. While that progress matters, we still have work to do. Competitive pay for our teachers and staff is essential, and continuing to make that a priority is something I care about.
I believe God called me to this role, and I do not take that responsibility lightly. My heart is to ensure the best for the students, educators, and families who make our district so special. I care deeply about the future of our schools. I would be honored to continue serving the St. James community.
