What a beautiful Thursday morning we are having. The sun is shining and it is 54 degrees outside. The puppies are enjoying the sun, and we can hear our chickens singing. Setting here watching the chickens in their pen and see several birds flying in to get their feed. Then all of a sudden, they fly out again as the chickens chase them away from their feed. We have blue birds establishing their territory on the bird houses and they are chasing away the sparrows. It won't be too long until the orioles and hummingbirds will be back. It is fun to set at the kitchen table and watch all the activity of nature.

I think spring is my favorite time of the year. Summer is okay as long as it doesn't get too hot. But I guess you have to take what God gives you in this life. As you get older the wintertime isn't too great with all the snow and ice you get. But that what makes the pastures get green and grass to grow for the hay to feed the animals. When you live on a farm you understand all of this.

Mel and I are over our sickness now. It was a rough month for us, and I am sure glad to hear that our family and friends didn't get it. The cough was the worst part of it. We were not able to go to church or Bible study for a month. We made it to church and Bible study this week. It sure felt good to be there. The rest of the Community survived the sickness, and all are doing great. We were so grateful that Mike could come down and do the chores for Mel.

God bless America and remember our troops and their families. Please continue to pray for our country and our leaders.
