The past two weeks has been very busy for us. We didn't have the Sligo Fest this year, so we didn't get to see anyone. We miss getting to talk to everyone.
I had a birthday last Friday, March 6 and some of my kids came down and went to church with us Sunday and then we all went out to dinner at JB Malone's. It was great having our kids with us. They all remembered to turn their clocks ahead and wasn't late getting here. I had a lot of phone calls from the other kids and grandkids. Mel got tired of answering the phone for me.
Mike is still down helping with the cattle. Karen comes down on the weekends after she gets off from work. Our granddaughter Amy and her husband Paul come down usually on Sunday and help out with things. She works on Saturdays so it's Sunday that they can make it.
The community is doing great. Joanna was sick for a few days but is doing better now. We didn't have Bible study because of her being sick since we have it at her house. We got to have it this past Wednesday and enjoyed it very much. The others that I have talked to are all okay. We got about eight inches of rain the past two weeks. We really needed it but was glad the flood didn't last too long. It washed out Mike's bridges he had built. Now he has to do it all over again and he said he was going to do them different. Our road sure was a mess but they graded it some and we need some gravel put on it in places.
God bless America and remember our troops and their families. Please continue to pray for our country and our leaders.
