Good Friday morning. It is a cool 35 degrees here in downtown Sligo this morning. There is frost on the pumpkin, and we are expecting some rain tomorrow.

Thanksgiving Day we picked up some dinners at His Place for some neighbors and us
and had a good meal as usual. I didn't have to cook, but Saturday some of our kids will be here
and we will have our family Thanksgiving then.

This has been a scary week for us. Wednesday, I took Mel to the ER at Sullivan. He has been slurring his speech for a few days and it wasn't getting any better. They did a lot of tests and showed that he was having mini strokes. He wasn't in any pain just couldn't talk straight. He knew what he wanted to say but it didn't come out right. If he was a drinker, he sounded like that. The doctor could see that his face was different. I called our daughter Tammy, and she called the other kids and her and Karen came down right away. After a while the doctor said he could come home and increased his aspirin dosages. He gave us strict instruction that if he got any changes to get back to the hospital right away. So far, he is doing okay. Please keep, us in your prayers. Mike is here doing the chores, and I am keeping Mel in the house in his recliner.

We got a call from Bryan last night that he would probably be Grandpa before the night is over.
We have not heard from him so far this morning. It's supposed to be a boy.

God bless America and remember our troops and their families. Please continue to pray for our country and leaders.
