Sondra Jane Mooney of Cuba, Missouri was born March 12, 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri to Ewing "Mickey" and Georgia "Tommy" (Davidson) Sapp and passed away Friday, July 3, 2026 at the age of 81 years.
She was raised in Cuba and worked in restaurants, local taverns and factories throughout her life. After living in St. Louis and Columbia for many years, she returned to the Cuba area.
Sondra enjoyed traveling, visiting the beach and river, dancing, playing cards and bingo.
She was preceded in death by her daughters, Lynette Carroll and April Blue; parents; sisters, Ruth Ann Hoerath, Barbara Calvin, and Toni Ogden; and grandparents, Jess and Nadine Pratt.
She is survived by her nieces, Tracie Hardesty (Bill), Stacie Garcia (Joe), Sheila Marquez and Robin Ware; nephew, Joe Ware (Cresta); six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2026 at the Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan, Missouri.
Services were held at 7 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2026 at the Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan, Missouri with Pastor John “Jack” Kurrelmeyer officiating.
Cremation took place following the service.
