Sip n’ Savor is returning to St. James. The annual event hosted by the Chamber of Commerce will be held Saturday, May 2 from noon to 4 p.m. on East Washington Street, East Springfield Street and Parker Street downtown.
Sip n’ Savor has attracted thousands of people into St. James since 2009 when it first started. The event features wine and beer tasting, boutiques, street games, food trucks and vendors set up along the tasting route.
There will be live music and over 60 samples of craft beer and wine from local wineries. This year’s event will commemorate the centennial anniversary of Route 66.
The first 700 people through the gate will receive two signature collectible wine glasses and a wine tote bag, both with a Route 66 anniversary logo, as a keepsake souvenir. There will also be a Route 66 themed photo backdrop.
Wineries and craft beer vendors in attendance will be Spencer Manor Winery, St. James Winery, Prairie Barn Winery, Eagles’ Landing Winery, White Mule Winery, Grey Eagle Distributors, Wenwood Farm Winery, Ozark Viking Meadery, Santa Fe Mexican Grill, Grellner, Blackshire Distillery, Craft Republic and Stateside Brands.
Food trucks on site will be the Typsy Gypsy, Shelly’s Smashburgers, Swafftastic BBQ, Abby’s and The Lunch Box. Swafftastic BBQ will be set up early in the morning and offering breakfast items.
Participants will also be able to shop at the following boutiques: Leatherwood, Autumn Woodcrafts, Bae’s Tiny Trends, Infinite Impressions, Board to be Wild, Lucky 7’s, Author Ellie Tru, First Down Fizz and The Beauty Mark.
Classic rock, pop and country band Every Other Sunday from Rolla will play from noon to 2 p.m. and folk, indie rock and blues artist Steven Woolley from St. Louis will play from 2 to 4 p.m. on the stage.
Tickets can be purchased ahead of time for a discounted rate at visitstjamesmo.com/sip-n-savor and are also available at the gate.
