Last week, members of Steelville Presbyterian took on a project of making blankets for Project Linus. That’s a group that works nationwide, to make and provide blankets for children suffering from serious illness. It’s a small gesture, but one that makes a big difference to a child in scary, uncertain circumstances.

Making the blankets isn’t hard. It’s just a matter of tying two pieces of fleece together. That’s the way the Kingdom of God works. Yes, we look to God to make big things happen. But more often than not, God looks to us to make the small things happen that make the big things possible. We know that none us can do everything. But it’s enough that each one of us do something. God’s mighty miracles often go hand in hand with our small contributions.

If you want to know more about Project Linus, visit projectlinus.org. We invite you to join us Sunday morning, at 9:30 a.m. for adult Sunday School and 10:30 a.m. for worship. We’re located on the corner of First and High Street in Steelville. For more information, check out the  website at steelvillepresbyterian.org.
