Stella L. Buchka of Cuba, Missouri was born on Nov. 12, 1947 in Bourbon, Missouri to John and Ruth (Adair) Bridgeman and passed away Dec. 10, 2025 at the age of 78 years.
On March 12, 1965, Stella married Wilbert J. Buchka in Cuba, Missouri.
Stella worked at Paramount Apparel, Brown Shoe, Echo Supply, Jim’s Cleaning Service and Dana Brake Parts.
She attended the Cherryville Church of God and Trinity Chapel.
She enjoyed building and crafting with her husband and cooking and baking pies, homemade bread and chicken and dumplings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ruth; husband, Wilbert; and siblings, Richard Bridgeman, Lola Mae (Ernie) Holland, Wayne Bridgeman, Johnny (Teri) Bridgeman, Carl (Betty) Bridgeman, Lawrence Bridgeman, Rodger Bridgeman Sr. and Haskel Bridgeman; sister-in-law, Glenda Bridgeman; and brothers-in-law, Louis and Richard Buchka.
She is survived by her children, Ann (Donald) Williams of Fairmont City, Illinois and Mike (Sandy) Buchka of Cuba, Missouri; grandchildren, Bobby Scott Hinson, Bobby Michael Hinson, James Williams, Anthony Williams, Martin Williams, Michael Buchka, Barry Richards, Jeffery Buchka, Joe and Jackie Baumgartner, Tiffany and Logan Fleming and Katherine Whipple; great grandchildren, Malachi, Chase, Zen, Grace, Savanna, Kashton, Eleven, Zehn, Dylan, Jacon, Meloda, Parker, Everleigh, Jeremiah, Emmalynn, Sofia, Abel, Anthony, Ashton, Xavier, Aden and Jordan; siblings, Orville (Lois) Bridgeman of Newbury, California, Larry (Wanda) Bridgeman, Clifford (Delphia) Bridgeman, Lester Bridgeman, Beverly (Jay) Hanes and Sharon (Dallas) Britton, all of Cuba, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Norma Bridgeman, Linda Bridgeman and Brenda Bridgeman; other relatives and friends.
In accordance with her family's wishes, Stella was cremated.
Celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026 at the Cuba American Legion.
