Stephen "Steve" Mark Humphrey of Cuba, Missouri was born on Thursday, May 17, 1973 in Rolla, Missouri to Rev. Billy Ralph Humphrey Jr. and Velma Gladine (nee Ryerson) Humphrey and passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at the age of 53 years, 1 month and 27 days.
As a young boy, Steve enjoyed running track and playing football. He graduated from Cuba High School, Class of 1993.
On April 17, 1997, Steve married Nicole Lynn Reed in Steelville, Missouri.
Steve accepted the Lord into his life. Music was another great passion. He was proud to be a member of the band Scarred Nation, where he played bass and rhythm guitar and sang.
He loved the outdoors, woodworking, hunting, riding four-wheelers and spending time target shooting. He was also a football fan who cheered on the Kansas City Chiefs.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Billy Humphrey Jr.; and brother, Paul Humphrey.
He is survived by his mother, Velma Humphrey of Rolla, Missouri; children, Bradley (Courtney) Humphrey of Ozark, Missouri, Amber Humphrey of Lenexa, Kansas and Haley Humphrey (Colton Hanson) of West Plains, Missouri; grandson, Oliver Humphrey; siblings, Joshua (Jasmine) Humphrey of Rolla, Missouri, Kathy (Mike) Murphy and Lisa (Travis) Toman both of Vichy, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Cindy Humphrey of Cuba, Missouri, Missy (Keith) Brakefield of Potosi, Missouri and Tonya (Bruce) Foster of Licking, Missouri; special nieces and nephew, Ashley, Lauren, Nena, Amelia and Billy; special friend, Josie Myers of Cuba, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.

The family chose cremation as his final disposition.
