Stephen “Steve” Rolf Sexton of Steelville, Missouri was born on July 26, 1950 in St. Louis, Missouri to Robert Sexton III and Leona (Rolf) Sexton and passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at the age of 75 years.
He graduated from Steelville High School with the Class of 1969.
On August 8, 1970, he married Vicki Brown.
Steve was a proud member of Carpenter's Local Union 2298, where he worked for 30 years before retiring in 1998.
He was baptized as a young man at Courtois Baptist Church and later became a member of Straightway Baptist Church in Steelville, Missouri.
He enjoyed the outdoors, turkey hunting, trapping and raising foxes, riding his three-wheeler, golfing and playing baseball and softball. He especially loved coaching his children's ball teams.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Leona Sexton; brother, Robert Sexton; great granddaughter, Brinley Sexton; and brother-in-law, Bob Becker.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Sexton; sons, Drayton (Tammy) Sexton of Steelville, Missouri and Lucas (Kelly) Sexton of St. Louis, Missouri; daughter, Angela Sexton of Steelville, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Drew and Megan Sexton, Trey (Star) Sexton, Kylee (Jayden) Burke, Lydia Sexton, Stephanie (Kyle) Reese and Brooklynn Sexton; six great grandchildren, Gabriel King, Kinsley Sexton, Sue Ann Sexton, Drayton Sexton, Eloise Reese and Rowdy Reese; sisters-in-law, Karen (Alan) Miles and Linda Becker; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
