Thelma L. Wenzel of Bourbon, Missouri was born on June 25, 1926 in Eureka, Missouri and passed away Saturday, April 18, 2026 at the age of 99 years.

On July 25, 1948, she married Ernest J. Wenzel in Bourbon, Missouri.

She helped Ernest on their dairy farm and worked as an examiner at Paramount Apparel.

She found joy in gardening, embroidery and word search puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Pearl (Schmelz) Miller; husband, Ernest J. Wenzel; three sons, Bobby, Ronnie and Gary Wenzel; sister, Augusta Butler; and one infant brother.

She is survived by five children, Kenny Wenzel of Bourbon, Missouri, Karen Wenzel of Bourbon, Missouri, Jimmy (Ann) Wenzel of Leasburg, Missouri, Shirley Peterson of Sullivan, Missouri and Sue Wenzel of Bourbon, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Mizell Funeral Home Crematory in Cuba, Missouri.

Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Mizell Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba, Missouri with Pastor Scott Perry officiating.

Interment followed at Lick Creek Cemetery in Cuba, Missouri.
