The St. James High boys’ golf squad finished fourth in the Sullivan Invitational, held Friday, April 24 at the Sullivan Golf Course.
St. Francis Borgia easily won with 208 while host Sullivan was second with 228, Pacific third with 229 and St. James fourth with 239.
The tournament format had each school playing three, 2-man teams.
This week St. James was scheduled to compete in the Cuba Tri Monday, but that event was canceled due to the weather.

The Tiger golfers finished seventh in the 15-school Waynesville Invitational, held Monday, April 20 at Piney Valley Golf Course in Fort Leonard Wood.
Rolla dominated, winning the tournament by 29 strokes with 296 while Dixon was second with 325 and School of the Osage third with 327. St. James was seventh with 350.
The tournament featured a unique format, with each school using two individual players as well as two-man best-ball and scramble squads.
For St. James, individual scores were E. Davis with 13-over-par 85 and Spurgeon with 104 while the Best-Ball team of Weinbaum/Easton Huffman shot 88 and the Scramble team of N. Davis/Mabrey shot 73.

Union’s Karter Wideman was medalist with 7-over-par 43 while St. James’ Noble Davis was runner-up with 44.
