Tickets on sale for Sip n’ Savor

St. James Chamber of Commerce’s annual Sip n’ Savor event is coming up next month and presale tickets are on sale now. The Chamber is also seeking additional boutique vendors and those interested can register now.

This year’s event will be on May 2 from noon to 4 p.m. in downtown St. James. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time for a discounted rate at visitstjamesmo.com/sip-n-savor. Tickets are also available at the gate.

Sip n’ Savor has attracted thousands of people into downtown since 2009 when it first started. The event features wine and beer tasting, boutiques, food trucks and vendors set up along the tasting route.

There will be live music and over 80 samples of craft beer and wine from local wineries. The Chamber plans to have this year’s event commemorate the centennial anniversary of Route 66.

A Route 66 anniversary logo will be printed on all of the glassware and tote bags handed out to the first 700 people at the gate as a keepsake souvenir. There will also be a Route 66 themed photo backdrop.

Classic rock, pop and country band Every Other Sunday from Rolla will play from noon to 2 p.m. and folk, indie rock and blues artist Steven Woolley from St. Louis will play from 2 to 4 p.m.

Those wanting to host boutique or retail vendor spaces can register on the Chamber’s Sip n’ Savor website to reserve a 10x10 space for $25. Vendors must provide all of their own equipment, tables and tents. Checks can be made out to the St. James Chamber of Commerce and mailed to PO Box 358, St. James, MO 65559.

Vendors will be accepted in the order that applications and payments are received. A specific list of items being sold must be sent to the Chamber and there will be no refunds provided if a vendor cannot attend once they’ve registered.

Set-up will begin at 10 a.m. on the day of the event. Spaces for food vendors are sold out.

Anyone with questions about tickets or vendor spaces can call the Chamber office at 573-265-6649 or email director@stjameschamber.net.
