Martin Andrew Bell was born on Oct. 31, 1950 in Howes Mill, Missouri to Noah and Melba (Counts) Bell and passed away March 23, 2026 at the age of 75 years.
He graduated in 1968 from Salem High School.
On March 29, 1975, he married Brenda Jo Hayes.
He worked as an equipment operator with MoDOT, retiring in 2011.
He loved hunting, being outdoors and attending his grandchildren’s ballgames.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda (Hayes) Bell; parents, Noah and Melba (Counts) Bell; and brother, Noel Bell Sr.
He is survived by his daughters, Angela K. Bowers and husband Justin of Salem, Missouri and Andrea Bell of St. James, Missouri; grandchildren, Alyssa Bowers and fiancé Matt Russell, Ashton Bowers and friend Randon Mahurin and Josie Bowers; great grandchildren, Millie Russell and baby boy Russell arriving in June; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026 at the Wilson Mortuary in Salem, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026 at the Wilson Mortuary in Salem, Missouri with Pastor Charlie Younger officiating. Pallbearers were Lane Hayes, Matt Russell, Randon Mahurin, Stanley Hayes Jr., Wyatt Hayes, Randy Lea, Puck Hayes and Joe Hayes. Honorary pallbearers were Alyssa, Ashton, Josie and Millie.
Burial in the Round Pond Cemetery.
