My name is Joyce Hartzel and I am currently one of the Alderman for Ward 3. I am just finishing my first term.
In the past two years we have accomplished a lot for the city of Cuba. Our infrastructure is good. We've caught up on many things that had slipped through the cracks previously. We are working on grants for different projects.
I take my job as Alderman very seriously and I am only concerned with what is best for the residents and employees of the city. I have no personal agenda and no friends or family involved in the city. With all the problems that have been going on, I show up every meeting and I put my personal feelings and fears aside and just do what needs to be done for the city. I believe that's what Aldermen are supposed to do.
I usually show up about 5 p.m. for a 6 p.m. meeting to make sure I have all the information and that it's fresh in my mind for the meeting. I do my homework and I always vote for what I think is best for the city of Cuba.
I appreciate your support and I look forward to continuing to serve you.
