Doug served as the Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Cherryville, Missouri and retired from the Crawford County R-2 School District as the Transportation Director. He was also a retiree of Painters Union Local 115.
He was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Alvin and Lorraine Rouse.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Windle of Cherryville, Missouri; sons, Joshua (Rebecca) Windle of Columbia, Missouri and Bradley (Lexa) Windle of Sturgeon, Missouri; grandsons, Nicholas and Christopher; parents, Edward and Virginia Windle; siblings, Debra Windle of Cuba, Missouri, Rodger (Beth) Windle of Cuba, Missouri, Nancy (Charles) McWhorter of Rolla, Missouri and Dick (Brenda) Windle of Owensville, Missouri; sister-in-law, Judy Rouse of Cuba, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at Mizell Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at Mizell Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba, Missouri with Pastor Bob Knight officiating.
Interment followed at the First Baptist Church of Cherryville Cemetery.
