Gini Louise (Baber) Gaunt of Rolla, Missouri was born March 1, 1954 to Roland R. and Virginia Lee (Shockley) Baber and passed away Nov. 24, 2025 at the age of 71 years.
Gini married Stephen Gaunt in 1993.
She was a founding member of Beautify St. James and served on the boards of the St. James Caring Center and Boys and Girls Town of Missouri.
She was a teacher, primarily kindergarten, for many years. Upon retiring from teaching, she became a watercolor artist.
She attended Greentree Christian Church in Rolla, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland R. Baber and Virginia Lee (Shockley) Baber.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen "Steve" Gaunt; three children, Nikki Wilson and husband Matthew, Erin Davis and husband Jason and Jacob Thomason and wife Nicole; grandchildren, Sydni Wilson, Eli Davis, Katen Wilson, Noble Davis, Jayla Wilson, Judah Davis, Tess Wilson, Ava Thomason, Ezra Davis and Gage Thomason; sister, Nora Faifer and husband Bill; twin sister, Rhonda Jurgens and husband Jerry; brother-in-law, Matt Gaunt and wife Courtney; sister-in-law, Michelle Gaunt; other relatives and friends.
Celebration of life was held at 2 p.m. Dec. 6, 2025 at Greentree Christian Church in Rolla, Missouri. An art showing of Gini’s paintings and reception followed.
