Joann Brewer of Fordland, Missouri, formerly of Owensville, Missouri, was born on Aug. 28, 1944 in Enville, Tennessee to James L. and Avis Ray (Burkeen) Ruth and passed away on Sept. 28, 2025 at the age of 81 years.
She married to Oliver Eugene Brewer on Dec. 2, 1962 in Carthage, Missouri.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Owensville, Missouri. She enjoyed being outside gardening and working in her flower bed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene; brother, Max Ruth, and grandson, Mark Anthony Brewer Jr.
She is survived by her children, Charlotte (Andrew) Cunningham of Owensville, Missouri, Teresa (Michael) Jones of Fordland, Missouri, Johnnie (Angie) Brewer of Owensville, Missouri, Patricia Brewer of Fordland, Missouri, Mark Brewer of Fordland, Missouri and Amanda (Philip) Moreland of Bourbon, Missouri; siblings, Donald Ruth, Brenda Woodland, Linda Brewer, Glenda Smith, Harold Ruth, Calvin Ruth, and Michael Ruth; grandchildren, Sheila (Brandon) Rodriguez, Levi (Emily) Cunningham, Brittany (Richard) Viehmann, Abigail (Josiah) Watson, Erica Brewer, Raquel (Chris) Burgess, Paul Brewer, Trey (Rayonna) Hubble, Isaiah (Krista) Brewer, Kimberly (Drew) Payne and Brandon Moreland; 14 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025 at the Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 3, 2025 at the Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville, Missouri with Pastor Les Dority officiating.
Burial at Owensville City Cemetery.
