Mary Evelyn Richardson-Moreland of St. James, Missouri was born on February 14, 1952 in St. James, Missouri to Charlie Lee and Wanda Laverne (Smith) Richardson and passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025 at the age of 73 years.
Mary was known for her generous heart. She loved all things horses and especially enjoyed riding. Mary was a wonderful cook. She also loved game nights with cards and Yahtzee. Though she didn’t tend a large garden, she enjoyed her small rose garden and cared for it with pride.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Wanda Richardson; son, Larry Moreland Jr.; and brother, Robert Charles Richardson.
Mary is survived by her children, Lennie Moreland and wife Rebecca of Sullivan, Missouri and Misty Moreland of St. James, Missouri; brothers, Roy Lee Richardson and wife Pansy of Vichy, Missouri and Troy Richardson and wife Helen of Rolla, Missouri; grandchildren, Jersey Moreland, Tristan Moreland, Nicolas Light, Nathan Flyzik, Keegan Moreland, Abigail Moreland, Braylee Moreland and Brooklynn Moreland; great grandson, Aiden; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at the St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025 at the St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary in St. James, Missouri with Pastor Mike Anderson officiating.
Interment followed at Meramec Hills Cemetery in Cuba, Missouri.
